About What I Feel

I started What I Feel to turn my emotions into something I could understand. I wanted to give my feelings a voice and investigate the neurological basis of emotion, or the why behind what I feel. This blog is where raw emotion meets curiosity, and where bold honesty becomes knowledge.
My name is Anastasia Khaimova, and I'm a writer, student, and prospective neurosurgeon. How the brain feels, thinks, and heals intrigues me greatly. I have a personal as well as an academic interest in neuroscience. In order to help others, I wish to understand the processes behind emotion, memory, and pain. That journey starts with What I Feel, which combines emotional and cognitive science and self-expression.
